Trip to Hiroshima

We decided to take a trip to Hiroshima for a weekends being we wanted to see it, as had heard so many stories about it. We had a babysitter for the weekend and a buddy, and his girl and the two of us hopped the train and went up there. We thought it would be fun to stay in a Japanese hotel and we looked at one that was really nice, but Dad's buddy wanted to stay in an American style hotel, so we did. We should have done what we wanted too, and let them do what they liked. We could see ground zero from our hotel room and the picture I have included is soon after the blast, but by the time we were there all the debris was cleaned up and just the domed building was standing. I have since lost our picture that we took, but I got this one off the net. Since then it has built up all around there and that building is still standing but it has been reinforced. It is a lovely looking city now. When we were there there were not any trees or other buildings like shown in the site below, just the domed building. Everything else had been cleaned away and the ground was leveled, and actually a muddy field.
